BIM ARC VIRTUAL REALITY
The Aquaculture Remote Classroom (ARC)is a truck-sized classroom which is travelling throughout Ireland to bring knowledge of aquaculture to primary schools. The ARC is fully equipped to provide young learners with an interactive and engaging experience with large screen displays, VR Headsets and hands-on group activities. Through active learning, pupils learn about aquaculture, explore its role in food production and in preserving the environment, and discover how it affects their local community.

NET REUSE WORKSHOP
Learn about plastic pollution with Sea Synergy and what is being done with marine plastic waste to close the loop. In this two hour workshop you will look into fishing net waste and how it can be reused, what is currently happening and how you can also contribute. Hands on crafting with fishing nets, discussions on circular economy and using waste as a resource.

KNOW YOUR KNOTS
Get to grips with the basic knots used in the Maritime Industry. Not only is it great fun but it's also very useful ! Hands on workshop with local Seafaring professional's.

MARINE CREATURE FEATURE
Fun and interactive learning about Ireland’s amazing marine life with marine biologists! The ‘Marine Creature Feature’ workshop will present different live animals from Ireland’s shoreline and discuss Ireland’s fantastic marine biodiversity. This is a great event for adults and children to discover what lies beneath the Wild Atlantic Way. Marine Biologists from Sea Synergy Marine Awareness & Activity Centre in Waterville will help you get up close and personal with critters from our local shoreline and learn about some of the largest animals on the planet that can be found in Irish waters!!

Delighted to have the National Maritime College of Ireland with us this year - if you or someone you know would like to know more about how to get involved in a maritime career, then come along and chat to the NMCI throughout the weekend.

SEASHORE SAFARI
Get your wellies on ! Follow Sea Synergy to the beach to become seashore explorers. Sea Synergy marine biologists will take you on a guided walk along the shoreline to discover what Cromane Beach has to offer in wildlife and biodiversity. Exploring the rock pools and along the low tide we will see what wild wonders live on our local beach.
